The bubble chart shows the correlation between the emission of CO2 by the airline and the distance travelled by the airline.
The y-value indicates the the emission, the x-value indicates the distance, the radius indicates the efficiency (emission/distance)
and the color indicates the profitability of the airline in 2013. The higher the efficiency, the smaller the size of the bubble.
Red represents loss and green represents profit.
About
The column chart represents the total emission given out by each airline in 2013. The airlines are divided into 4 percentile based on the total emission produced. The higher the color intensity, the higher the emission quantile.
The emission percentile will help the FAA to impose the different carbon tax. This is shown in the different emission tax tier dropdown at the top of the page.
About
The column chart represents the total distance travelled by each airline in 2013. The airlines are divided into 4 percentiles based on the total distance travelled. The higher the color intensity, the higher the distance percentile.
About
The composite line chart represents the pre-tax, tax and post-tax of each airline in 2013. The pre-tax, tax and post-tax
are indicated by blue, red and green line respectively.
About
The data table shows the results of the filtered data. The fields are Airline ID, Airline Name, Pre-Tax Profit, Tax, Post-Tax Profit, Emission and Distance.
